Antina's Uniques has been around since 2001, creating custom clothing
& armor, and selling vintage, period reproduction items, and
wargaming paraphernalia through various retail and antique mall
outlets. It all began in the Summer of 1990 when the the owner and
proprietor Antina Richards-Pennock re-enacted at her first American
Civil War Event. The other members of our shop include Danielle, Kate
and Heather who each bring different skills to the items that we sell.
Antina's Bio- Since beginning in the American Civil War (as former associate of the 12th Alabama and Angels of the Battlefield, to her current long standing membership in the First United States Sharpshooters Company C~Illinois), she has marched in uniform as a Sharpshooter and participated in ladies fashion shows with Berdan's Aide Society. In 1995 she branched out into the SCA and currently serves as Seneshal and Chatelaine for the Shire of Blackhawk of the Middle Kingdom, in the Society of Creative Anachronism, as Lady Antine Andersdottier, where she has sewn garments for men and women from the 10th to the 16th century, crafting Light Weapons Armor, dabbled in lacemaking, taught the occasional class, served as the past Chronicler and Webmistress and is currently the Shire's Mistress of Arts and Sciences. Antina's third major re-enacting time is spent with Robert's Armory and the 504th PIR of 82nd Airborne of Historical Re-enactment Society, of which she has been a member for the past several years. She's been toted around the countryside on or in several different vehicles as well as setting up equipment and displays at area Airport Fly-ins. Other Living history engagements include working as a volunteer for Tinker Swiss Cottage Museum, and doing educational talks for schools. Other Hobbies include model horses (Breyers, Hartlands and Hagen-Renakers), books, wargaming and being an airplane "geek". |
